Doesn't Like Them, But Uses Trucks

ATLANTA, Ga.—The Southern in its propaganda sheet, spends much time and space telling how trucks tear up the roads and don't pay a fair share of the road taxes, says Gene Pullen, Lodge 302.

But when it comes to tank cars vs. tank trucks—well, listen to this:

"At some expense Southern built a side track for the purpose of unloading tank cars. We spot six or eight cars at a time.

"Yet for all the damage the trucks are doing and all the lost business the railroads suffer from the trucks, we see Southern receiving tank-truck loads of fuel oil instead of by rail."
