About noon last Saturday as Miss Etta Decker, daughter of J. L. Decker, was passing through the grove between Exchange and Main streets she was stopped by a well dressed young man who demanded her jewelry. Miss Decker attempted to escape when the villain grabbed her and took from her person a pair of bracelets, her earrings, a chain and charm, and then made his escape. Officers at once began a thorough search but no trace of the thief could be found. The robbery was a very bold and daring one as there are several houses almost in stone throw of the spot.
