Convention Starts Today
The 12th Annual Convention of the Georgia State Beauty Culturist League, Inc. will start its three-day session today. All beauticians, members and non-members have been invited to worship in body with the State Organization at 11:00 a.m. today at the Big Bethel AME Church, corner of Auburn and Butler Street, Rev. H. I. Bearden, Pastor.
At 10:30 a.m. over WERD interview of keynote speaker, Mrs. Mary A Clark, of Texas.
At 2:30 p.m. over WAOK interview of visiting Hair Style Artists.
At 3:00 p.m. Sight-seeing tour beginning at Auburn and Butler Street.
At 8:00 p.m. Peach Banquet. Waluhaje Ballroom, 239 West Lake Avenue.
Banquet keynote speaker will be Mrs. Mable Sanford Lewis, of New York, will teach Hat and Glove Making. All the latest in new beauty products will be exhibited ac-

The business sessions and clinic will continue through Tuesday including such activities as Reports, Demonstrations, Hair Styling, Tinting and Cutting. Among some of the outstanding guest hair style artists will be Mrs. Evelyn Johnson and Mrs. Ernestine Mahan both of Cincinnati, Ohio. Mrs. Mary A. Clark. She is president of the Texas State Association and Beauty Culturist League, Vice President of National Beauty Culturist League.

The Atlanta League will serve as host for the convention while its President Mrs. Buehler B. Hunter will serve as convention chairman. Mrs. Ella Ramsey Martin, State President, has prepared special films and other features for educational purposes to help make the 12th Annual Convention the best in its history. The Georgia State Beauty Culturist League, Inc. was organized in Atlanta 12 years ago and is returning to Atlanta for the first time since its inception. Mrs. Martin has served as its president during the entire 12 years.
