Happy would it be for England the Importation of Foreign Silks, Stuffs, and other Commodities were prohibited, and we obliged to wear our own Manufactures, which would make Trade flourish, and not so many Shops Shut up; and if the Importation of Fiddlers, and Singers, were prohibited, in all Probability Tradesmen would be better paid, and the Italians, &c. would not have it in their Power to expose our Follies abroad, as they have done in many Instances of late.
