FISHING BOAT SPRINGS LEAK AND GOES DOWN

Captain, with Five-Man Crew Escape, Reach Shore Safely

NANAIMO, B.C., Oct. 5. - The 44-ton fishing boat Windsor lay in 20 fathoms of water, 15 miles from here, but the Captain and 5-man crew escaped in skiffs when the vessel sank from leaks, enroute to Seattle. Capt. H. C. Timmerman and crew of the Windsor, arriving here, said the boat started leaking enroute from Alaska with a $2,000 cargo of salmon aboard. They were forced to abandon the vessel off Gray Rock last Saturday.
