The Farmers' Institute.
In accordance with an invitation from Mr. W. I. Morrison, the farmers held a meeting at the Opera Hotel on Nov. 6th for the purpose of making arrangements for the Farmers' Institute to be held here Nov. 30th and Dec. 1st, and organized by electing O. Strahl, chairman, and W. H. Lovell, secretary, and appointing the following committees:
Committee of Arrangements - W. H. Lovell, L. Spaulding, O. Strahl, O. S. Powell, J. H. Lord.
Committee on Music - J. R. Getchell, Wm. S. Armstrong, Mrs. O. S. Powell.
Committee on Program - C. V. Guy, Prof. F. H. King, W. H. Baird, Mr. Morrison, who is to have charge of the Institute, is one of the best posted men in the state, with large experience, untiring energy, and fully devoted to the work. Every farmer in this community should lay aside all but imperative home duties for the two days mentioned and be in prompt and constant attendance at the Institute, so as to gather in the rich morsels of information which will be freely distributed, and also donate to others the good things they may have wrought and through their own exertions. No farmer can afford to be absent.
It is of great importance that ample provision should be made for the entertainment of visitors by the friends of the cause, and thereby the fraternal and social feeling fostered together with the pecuniary, so that the River Falls Institute shall be second to none in the state in both the elements of pleasure and profit.
