Secretary Of State Plans Conferences In 12 Ohio Cities
Secretary of State Ted Brown today announced a series of important Election Conferences to be held in 12 Ohio cities during February, scheduled primarily for the purpose of interviewing prospective appointees to Boards of Elections and to better acquaint them with their duties.
The terms of 176 county Board members—one Democrat and one Republican in each county—expire February 28. Brown said he has received recommendations from a majority of the County Republican and Democratic Executive Committees to fill these vacancies.
Some were for reappointments and others for new members. It is the latter, those who have not been interviewed by him, that he is especially calling into the conferences.
