PHILADELPHIA, February 9.

Yesterday was slaughtered A STEER, allowed by good Judges to be the fattest and most beautiful Beef ever killed in this City. He was under six Years old, and, although far from being the largest killed here, many bets were depending on his weight, which was determined by 3 Gentlemen of the first character, who were present and saw him weighed.--His four Quarters weighed 1332 lb.--Hide 149--Tallow 113--Head 30. Tongue 11--Heart 10--Feet 33--In the whole 1978 lb.--The Belly was not weighed but it sold for 3 Dollars. This steer when three Weeks old was drove with its Dam 70 miles to this City.
