The Cincinnati Chronicle says: "We have received a letter which states that Capt. Walker will be in Newport, Ky., in a few days, where he will purchase horses for his company. He will select the dark bays, dark sorrels, and blood bays with black hoofs, not more than fifteen and a half hands, and not less than fourteen hands high, between three and five years of age, of the best blood, clean limbs, of fine form, substance and action, of fine spirit and a tractable disposition. No horse will be purchased until he has been sufficiently tested to ascertain whether he is likely to make a good and serviceable war-horse. Those having such horses to dispose of, will find sale for them at Newport, Ky, on or after the 10th of March."
