LITTLE JOKERS.

New York, Dec. 15.-The Herald's Tallahassee special says: The Congressional committee stumbled on a rich piece of fraud to-day. In Leon county at precinct No. 13, it will be remembered, 72 republican tickets were found in the box. It was charged then that these tickets, called "Little Jokers," had been placed surreptitiously, in the folds of large tickets. It was shown by the republicans that the names on the registry list compared in number with the tickets, including little jokers. To-day it appears from a careful examination of the registry list that a block of 72 names was interpolated in the registry list of precincts. These 72 names come so dry one after another, and just cover the fraud of the tiny tickets. Mr. Fleming, who had lived in the precinct all his life, was introduced and testified he knew every voter in the precinct except this block of 72 names, and that he didn't know a single man in that number. Besides this palpable fraud, examination of the general poll list showed 17 repeaters. The congressmen were so deeply interested over the discovery of these frauds; they declined to adjourn for supper, and are now in session at 9 o'clock. One of them said to your correspondent that it was a new lead for them to strike, and one full of surprise. It was further shown that a democratic inspector was excluded from the precinct on the ground that he was not on hand at the opening of the polls, and a republican put in his place. He swears he was at the polls before the opening time, and that they were opened before the appointed hour, for the purpose of throwing him out. This county was canvassed entirely by the canvassing board.
