Texas.--There is yet much uncertainty in regard to the final issue of affairs in Texas. The Mexicans have Gen. Jose Urrea as commander-in-chief, and some 12 or 1500 men, about ready for another fight; and Houston, it is presumed, will be there, 'in time!' It is apprehended that a great battle is yet to be fought, before peace can be established. Among the rest of the gossip of the day, is the silly rumor, that "the Mexicans threaten to declare war with the United States to capture and plunder New Orleans (!!!) and march to Washington."
