BERLIN, May 31.

There have been fabricated last year in the manufactures of this city, 400,000 ells of gauze and 1,200,250 ells of silks.

At the end of the year 1783, the New Marche, according to an accurate computation, contained a population of 246,689 souls exclusive of the military.

The woolen manufacture employed 1,964 looms, which gave employment to 8538 workmen, and produced that year merchandize to the value of 717,453 rix-dollars.

It was computed that in the towns there were 529 weavers looms, and in the villages 476; 194 of which were for woollens, and four only for cottons.
