NEW-YORK, April 10.
The latest accounts from Paris bespeak a continuation of the system of Moderation--among other decrees and resolutions, corresponding with it, we notice
An exception to be made in the prosecutions of the Revolutionary Tribunal, of those emigrants and "exported" priests who had made applications at the bar of the Convention on their return in consequence of the decree of the 20th December.
That on the 10th Jan. a number of the sections of Paris assured the Convention of their determination to support the system of moderation; and to suppress the fears attempted to be excited by the Jacobins in raising up the "Phantom of Royalism."
On the 13th Jan. a motion was made and decreed that Gen. Kellerman should be employed in the service of his country--also that Gen. Miranda and Capt. La Croix should be set at liberty.
The inspectors of the Hall of the Convention reported a plan for a new arrangement of the seats, which would destroy the distinctions of right and left, Valley and Mountain which was ordered to be printed.
Humane resolutions were proposed, and referred to Committees, that 500 or 600 of the "Robbers" of La Vendee, taken in arms, imprisoned at Rochelle and employed at labour, should be discharged at the end of one month; be freed from work during the next month, and receive daily instruction to prepare them for the liberty their country was to restore.
