For the satisfaction of our readers, we have collected a list of those real and acquired titles annexed to the humane, pompous, and fortunate British Gen. taken in Virginia, by the confederated army, viz. Charles Earl Cornwallis, Viscount Brome, Colonel of the 33d Regiment of Foot, Constable and Chief Governor of the Tower of London, Lord Lieutenant of the Tower of London, Lord Lieutenant of the Tower Hamlets, Hereditary Member of the House of Lords, one of the British King's Most Honorable Privy Council, Lieutenant-General of the British arms in America, Conqueror of the cowards at Guilford hero, Commissioner for restoring peace to the deluded rebels in these States, the invincible Phoenix of York-Town, (Virginia) Defamer of his unhappy brother General Burgoyne, Competitor of Sir Henry Clinton, and particular Associate of that finished and cured villain, Traitor Arnold, whom he has carried to England with him in the Robust of 74 guns, in order, no doubt, to make a tool of him, to help palliate the loss of ten thousand men in Virginia, and reprobate the egregious Clinton, whose fame diminishes daily, and whose incapacity and inhumanity is too obvious to require further illustration.
