A party of Indians attacked six men at night, killing two, capturing one, and leaving a wounded man for dead who survived to recount the event. Volunteers pursued the Indians 120 miles, ambushed their camp, routed them, took three scalps, wounded others, captured guns and equipage, retook horses, released the prisoner, and recovered the scalps without loss.
