Full Text
For the first time in several months services were conducted yesterday morning and last night at Trinity Episcopal Church by the newly appointed Rector, Rev. Chas. E. Cabaness. A large congregation greeted the pastor at both services. At the morning services the Rector preached a plain practical sermon leaving the impression upon his hearers that he is a man of thought and a devoted and earnest Christian gentleman, and lives for the good he can do. At night he did not undertake to preach a sermon, but confined himself to remarks that tended to explain his mission among the people with whom he expects to labor for the cause of Christ. Mr. Cabaness uses no manuscript, has a clear, distinct articulation and is possessed of the purest and best language. His congregation is delighted and the pastor himself highly pleased.
