HOLLYWOOD (ANP)—Dorothy Dandridge cancelled plans for a European vacation and flew to New York last week for a series of press interviews and radio-television appearances arranged by 20th Century-Fox to publicize the premiere of Otto Preminger's production of "Carmen Jones."
Miss Dandridge plays the title role in "Carmen Jones," which opens at the Rivoli on Broadway in October. The opening night performance will benefit the Urban League. President Eisenhower and N.A.A.C.P. head Walter White are scheduled to appear at the opening.
