CAMBRIDGE
Western Avenue, Baptist Church
Rev. W. H. Smith, pastor

Sunday, Jan. 19, was a well spent day. Morning services were as usual at 10:45. Church school at 12:30 p.m. The pastor preached the morning sermon on the subject, "Render unto Caesar the things which are Caesar's; and unto God the things that are God's" Matt. 22:21. The choir rendered two special selections, entitled "Somewhere" and "When the Saints Go Marching On."

At 3 p.m. the Missionaries held their session with Mrs. McKenzie as the principal speaker. Her subject was "The Wishing Well." The program was very interesting. After the lovely service the Circle elected its State officers for their field work. Many candidates offered for election. It would not be hard to guess who were chosen but I will tell you. Our own beloved and hard worker Sister Bessie Pearson became president, the vice president, secretary and treasurer and assistant were given the duty of office by the beloved sister Brown, field president, who was the capable one in charge. Those who were not present missed a treat.

At 6 p.m. the young people met to discuss and arrange their program. It is too bad that more people of this city do not come out to this meeting and enjoy the session. The evening service was also well attended.

We hope to see you Sunday, Jan. 26, to worship with us. We ask you again to let us know of any sick and unable to come to church. Please also cooperate and send us any good news items for the column.
