Suspected Inmate Kills Himself
SALEM, Ore.—An inmate of Oregon insane asylum, suspected of having strangled three other patients to death early Monday, was found dead in his private cell Wednesday, and a hospital doctor indicated he bled to death after an attempted self-emasculation.
The inmate was Wiley Hill, committed from Talent in Jackson county, Ore., four years ago. He was one of nine inmates in a ward for chronic patients where the pillowslip garroting of Levi Hagren, Jack Leavy and Sol Green occurred.
