Miss Lois Cosand, acting county librarian, has returned from Sacramento where she attended the sessions of the state convention.

Legislation, both state and county, federal, affecting county libraries, was discussed at the sessions, particularly the proposals for federal aid for county libraries, a project in which the state farm home department is also interested.

Miss Mabel Gillis, state librarian, and Miss Eleanor Hitt, assistant state librarian, were principal speakers.

One of the highlights of the meeting was the reception for the county librarians conducted in the state library.
