Extract of a Letter from the Camp at Lake Ontario, July 2.

We have just receiv'd Orders to take in Provisions for Niagara, and believe we shall set off To-morrow. Sir William Johnson is here with 1300 Indians, Men. Women and Children, of whom there are above 600 Fighting Men, who. 'tis said. are to go with us. The Senecas have sent Word to Col. Bradstreet, that they will deliver up to him all the Prisoners; and last Night he sent Boats off, with some Indians and White men, to receive and carry the Prisoners to Niagara. The Hurons and Missagues are now at Niagara. waiting for Sir William ; and we hear several other of the distant Nations are to be at the Congress there: It is thought there will be a general Peace. The Troops are in good Health. We have Boats that row with 26.Oars, but they do not appear to move quite strong enough for the Service they are intended for.
