Full Text

Bills for more wildcat institutions have been introduced into the Nebraska Legislature. The Western Exchange Co. do not seem likely to monopolize the management of this delectable business; but present indications are that that institution is not going to prove quite as successful in respect of supplying the country with currency as they anticipated, and however many cats may be bred in that country, there is little chance of their scratching the people of Iowa very severely. But let the public once give currency to the Omaha issues, and they will have opened the doors to as wild a flood of trash as ever brought havoc to the business of Illinois or Michigan.
