Chicago, Ill., June 26.—Many of the most distinguished educators of the Roman Catholic church, including presidents and professors of the Catholic colleges of the country and clergy and laity associated with educational work, gathered in Chicago today to take part in the eighth annual convention of the Catholic Educational Association.
The purpose of the association is to bring about closer co-operation among Catholic educators and a yearly interchange of plans and suggestions for promoting the ideals of the church.
The principal questions selected for consideration at the present meeting are the Carnegie Foundation and its relation to Catholic institutions, the relation of seminaries to other educational work, and the courses of study in Catholic high schools.
