Milford Center Girl is Winner
Of Local Coin Club's Essay Contest
Friday marked the beginning of
National Coin Week. Special exhibits placed in
various store
windows in the business district.
by members of the Marysville
Numismatic Society, have created
a lively interest among the non-collecting public. Friday was al-so the awaited day for many
high school students in Union
County. as to who were the win-ners of the Essay contest spon-sored by the Marysville Numis-matic Society.
Fred Kerns, prominent central
Ohio numismatic, of Columbus,
was the final judge in this con-test. He announced the following
winners and the grades received
for their numismatic value:
Charlene L. Moran, Milford
Center, 1st. 90.5%: Howard Hill.
Marysville. 2nd, 90.3%; Jean Con-rad, Marysville, 3rd, 90%; Eu-gene Cook, Marysville, 4th, 89-.7%: Elizabeth Weidman, Marys-ville, 5th, 89.3%; James Gibson,
Marysville, 6th, 85%: Janet Hard-man, Marysville, 7th, 84.5%: Eli-sabeth Boylan, Milford Center,
8th, 83.6%; Elizabeth Braskett,
Milford Center, 9th, 83%: Betty
Schmidt, Milford Center. 10th,
81.7%: Marlea Stallings. Milford
Center, 11th, 80.5%: Nancy Yar-rington, Marysville, 12th, 79.9%.
Beautiful prizes will be award-ed these winners at The Marys-ville
Numismatic Society's re-gular monthly meeting April 26,
in the
County
Commissioners
room of the Court House. Friends
of the winners are cordially in-vited to attend this meeting and
witness the presentation of priz-es.

cents; McKinley gold dollars:
Indian Heads cents; Greek paper
money collection: Ancient Chin-ese knife money; Ancient Fish
Hook money; Ancient Iron Spear

Half dollar: Uncirculated Mexi-can 5 Peso: Bryan Dollars: a set
uncirculated Lincoln cents; many
foreign coins and many numis-matic books. All these beautiful
prizes are on display at the office
of the City Loan on W. Fifth st.
Street.
