LONDON,
Jan. 3. It appears upon a very slight Review of the Publick Transactions of last Year, that we have been induced by some Fatality, not only to take on ourselves new Burthens, in the several Contracts and Engagements in the Convention with S---n, which were still left to us by the disadvantageous Treaty of Aix-la-Chapelle. Is not this making a glorious Use of the Blessings of Peace? What may not, in Time, be expected from the great Men in P-t, if they thus continue from Year to Year, downwards to climb, and backwards to advance?
