Oct. 21. The King of Portugal has published two ordinances: one enjoining his Subjects, under rigorous penalties, to give in an account in fifteen days of all the effects they have in their hands of the Spaniards. By the other, all the officers who are in the strong places of the kingdom, of whatever rank, even if superior to those of the governor and commandant, and of longer standing, are ordered carefully to obey the governors and commandants that his Majesty has appointed to guard those places.
