Opening Gavel to Sound Half-Hour Later in De- ference to Norlitemen
Because of a conflicting meeting, the second regular session of the Juneau Dramatic Club will not be called to order until 8 o'clock tomorrow night in the mathematics room of the Juneau High School.
The starting time originally had been set for 7:30 o'clock.
Dramatic Club members, who hope to start a "little theatre" movement in Juneau by their newly organized group, discovered today that the Norlitemen, men's club of the Northern Light Presbyterian Church, have a monthly meeting scheduled from 6:30 o'clock to 8 o'clock tomorrow night.
To avoid any possible conflict, the Dramatic Club starting time was postponed a half hour.
Busy Slate Planned
Business details, it was announced today, will take up most of the time tomorrow night, although a short program will be presented.
Probably of most importance is the announced intention to close the secretary's book to any more charter members after tomorrow's session.
Second, standing committees will be named. Also, parts will be given out for the first dramatic production to be attempted by the club, a one-act non-costume play to be given at the first meeting in May.
Major Play?
Third, discussion as to the feasibility of producing a major dramatic vehicle this spring will take place.
On the short program will be J. F. Mullen, in a talk on an unannounced subject, and Miss Etta Schwam, in a reading.
