Mrs. Russell Talbott from Roseville spent a few days last week with her father, T. E. Morris.
Mr. and Mrs. V. O. Phillips and daughter Kathleen, Mr. and Mrs. James Kincaid and daughters Gertrude and Evelyn, and Raymond Hambel and Mrs. Jane Fleming were dinner guests Wednesday of Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Kincaid, of McConnelsville.
Delmar Ahle and Kathleen Phillips were supper guests Wednesday of the latter's aunt, Mrs. Samuel Vickroy of McConnelsville.
Oral Ball visited at the Vickroy home from Tuesday evening until Thursday morning.
Several from here attended the Northwest Territory celebration at McConnelsville, last Wednesday.
Mrs. Lawrence Ahle and daughter Ardith were supper guests Wednesday evening of Mr. and Mrs. Delbert Ahle, near Malta.
Mr. and Mrs. Earl Ahle of Pennsville, and Mrs. Chas. Duncan of Joy, were Sunday afternoon callers at the former's parents, Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Ahle.
Sunday a few friends and neighbors gathered at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Marion McCune to remind Mrs. McCune of her birthday. A fine dinner was served at the noon hour. Those present were Mr. and Mrs. John Waymer and children Elizabeth and John of Crooksville; Mr. and Mrs. P. F. Wogan and daughter Margaret of Mountville; Mr. and Mrs. Chester Ball and son Oral, Miss Oca Ahle of Wrightstown; Mr. and Mrs. Fred Linscott and Mr. and Mrs. Austin Fleming and Mrs. Anna Carpenter of Federal, and host and hostess and daughter Catherine. All left at a late hour wishing Mrs. McCune many more happy birthdays.
Mr. Charles McNally and family are moving to the late Vinton Wogan farm on Zion ridge, this week.
Mrs. E. J. Ahle who has been suffering with a broken bone in her hip for the last few weeks, does not improve as fast as her friends would like to see.
Warren Withem, son of Mrs. Lena Withem, started Wednesday morning for a CCC camp.
Ardith Ahle spent the week end with her aunt and family, Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Ridgley, of Chesterhill.
Irene Nolan spent last week with her father, Arthur Nolan, and her brother, Mr. Montford Nolan, and family.
Mr. and Mrs. L. C. Ahle and daughter Ardith spent Sunday with their parents, Mr. and Mrs. J. B. Carpenter at Chesterhill. Other guests were Mr. and Mrs. H. F. Ridgley and children Wendell, Dana, Virginia, Paul and Glenn, Mrs. Guy Van Dyke and son Philip and Mr. and Mrs. Earl Ahle.
Mr. and Mrs. E. J. Ahle spent Sunday with the latter's parents, Mr. and Mrs. Geo. Vincent of Bartlett.
Mr. and Mrs. Raymond Kincaid of McConnelsville spent Sunday with Mr. and Mrs. V. O. Phillips and family.
