Bent County Fair

Denver, Sept. 1.—A Las Animas dispatch last night says: The Bent county fair opened at Las Animas to-day and will continue three days. There are seventy-five race horses at the stables and fair grounds, brought from all parts of the state to enter the races, as the purses are worth competing for. The exhibits comprise all the products found in an agricultural community. The ladies' department is of special interest. The stock department comprises some of the finest horses to be found in the West and Bent county is one of the greatest stock sections in the state and prides itself on the quality and breeding of stock.
