Electric Cars to Anoka.

The Anoka Union announces that during the next spring Minneapolis and Anoka will be connected by an electric railway. The road is to enter Anoka over the new Mississippi bridge, and crossing Rum bridge, run into the centre of Anoka. The fare will be placed at ten cents. Freight will be carried, the "Soo" line being utilized entering Minneapolis. The road will have to be graded and ballasted, and will cost, when completed, in the neighborhood of $10,000 per mile. The citizens of Anoka are very much interested in the project, and, it is reported, will subscribe liberally. On the west side of the river, between Anoka and Minneapolis, there lies a tract of arable land, well cultivated and settled. Farmers and small gardeners would be especially benefited by the construction of the proposed road. There are many pretty sites along its line well adapted for suburban residences. It is said that Thomas Lowry, Col. McCrory and John R. Leach, of Minneapolis, are interested in the new road, as well as M. J. Pippard, of Champlain.
