JOINT DISCUSSION
On last Wednesday there was a joint discussion at the court house between Messrs. Houk and Roberts, of Knoxville, Tenn. Mr. Houk slipped into this State with the intention of making a number of speeches. Mr. Roberts dropped onto his movement and notified Chairman Johnson. Johnson requested Roberts to go after Houk; he is chasing him through the State and has been able, so far, to force a division of time.
Both are young men of ability and each did justice to his party. We, however, felt that Mr. Roberts, who represented Democracy, had much the better of the discussion.
