LEGISLATURE OF PENNSYLVANIA.

The following resolution was, on Monday last, laid on the table of the house of representatives, by a leading democrat member from Beaver county: "Resolved, That a committee be appointed to enquire, and report to this house the expediency of extending the powers of the traverse juries, to the determination of the law, as well as the facts, in civil cases; and also the right of such juries to decide on the veracity of all witnesses brought before them, and likewise the propriety of regulating by law, the manner in which new trials shall be granted."
