THOUGHTS OF A LAYMAN
Origin of Man
Adam lived to be 930 years of age. His longevity alone is proof enough that he could not possibly have been the descendant of some higher ape or other intelligent animal. God says that He created man in His own image. He breathed His Holy Spirit into the nostrils of Adam, giving him an immortal soul. Modern psychology neglects this feature and concerns itself with the activities of the mind and body, forgetting about the soul, sin, conscience, angels, devils, heaven, hell and God. Adam lost his spiritual heritage by wilful sin. Both the Old and New testaments trace the genealogy of man from Adam to Christ, making the matter an historical fact.
