To CORRESPONDENTS—R. M. P. is informed that we cannot publish his communication. He is evidently ardent in his efforts to favor the cause he advocates and is desirous of doing just the right thing we have no doubt—but it strikes us that his communication is altogether too radical to effect the object designed. The communication of R. V. M. we could not possibly give place this week. If our columns are not crowded next week with matter more pressing, and we find time and have the inclination to make a few comments we shall do our self the pleasure of giving his communication a place.

Our correspondent 'Alexis,' is altogether too hot in the mouth. We have to suggest that as he and R. M. P. are on adverse sides of the temperance question, they exchange communications and endeavor to convert each other. Few people, it is to be hoped are to be influenced by such exaggerated appeals and statements as are contained in these two communications.

We shall probably publish the 'address of the Temperance convention in our next, and shall give place to any well-written, sensible article, expressing the views of those who oppose what they deem the ultraisms of this party.
