KENTUCKY ELECTION.

For Governor.-The returns of 21 counties give Col. Shelby 15,297, and Col. Slaughter 5,996 votes.

For Lieut. Governor.--The returns of 14 counties give Mr. Hickman 10,607, Mr. Bradford 1839, Mr. Ewing 1205, and Mr. Crutcher 468 votes.

CONGRESS.

1st District. James Clarke, Esq-No opposition.

2d. do. The honorable H. Clay, re-elected --No opposition.

3d do. The hon. R. M. Johnson re-elected -No opposition.

4th do. The hon. Joseph Desha, re-elected without opposition.

5th do. General Samuel Hopkins; he had two opponents, Messrs. Davidge and Lyon

7th do. The hon. Samuel M'Kee, re-elected--No opposition.

8th do. John Simpson, Esq. by a small majority over the hon. Stephen Ormsby.

9th do. Thos. Montgomery, Esq.

10th do. Wm. P. Duval, Esq. without opposition.

The 6th district remains to be heard from-- Messrs Butler and Sharpe were the candidates. We must also remark that our accounts from the 5th district are too deficient to enable us to state with certainty that General Samuel Hopkins is elected.
