Last Wednesday Night a Person broke into the back Part of the House of Mr. John Greenlaw, in this Town, from whence he went into the Parlour, struck a Light and broke open a Desk, from whence he carried off to the value of £15 Lawful Money in Change, also a Pair of large Silver Buckles marked A. B. with the sterling Mark. A young Woman, who slept in the Parlour, was awaked by the Noise, got up, and catched hold of the Thief, but he got out of her Hands. The Thief had on a blue Coat. He was pursued by the young Woman to a considerable Distance from the House.
