ON BOULEVARD
Mrs. Hugh Williams, who resides at the corner of Eaton and Duvall streets, said this morning that she had been the unfortunate victim of a sneak thief who stole a bag containing about $95, watch and several other articles.
Mr. and Mrs. Williams went out this morning to the bathing pool on the boulevard. They were in the water for a while and when they emerged from the pool and went to the car, Mrs. Williams found the purse missing.
Starting to remove every article in the car in the hope that it may be hidden under a towel or some of the impedimenta in the car, a thorough search failed to reveal the bag, and the decision was reached that it was stolen.
Mrs. Williams said that she had no idea who the miscreants are. Two youths came in the vicinity while riding bicycles, but questioning some of the persons in the vicinity revealed the fact that neither of the young men were seen to go near the car.
It is understood that the matter has been turned over to the sheriff's office and the police department and a diligent search is being made to locate the bag and the possible guilty parties.
