From the Philadelphia Public Ledger.
The American Daily Advertiser,—so long edited by Zachariah Poulson, has become united with the North American, and will henceforth be published in connection with that paper. The Advertiser was the first newspaper which appeared daily on the American continent. Ill health is one of the causes which induces the editor to relinquish the labor and responsibility attending its publication. Mr. Poulson is the oldest editor in the city, and might be called the patriarch of the editorial corps. May he live to enjoy the peace and comfort which should attend a life spent in industry and usefulness.
