Human Leg Is
Found on Beach
Near Yakutat

ANCHORAGE, (AP) - The discovery
of a human leg and parts
of a pair of green whipcord trousers
on the beach at Yakutat was
held a possible clue Tuesday to
the fate of a Korean airlift plane
missing since July 21 with 38 persons
aboard.

Tenth Rescue Squadron officials
said searchers are now expected
to concentrate their search for the
craft along shore waters of the
Yakutat area.

Three Juneau doctors said the
leg
came
from a large human
male and that it had been exposed
to water about two weeks
-about the length of time since
the airlift plane disappeared.

The trousers, which were found
some distance from the leg, were
from a different person, officials
said. A check was being made of
laundry marks for further clues
to the persons who wore them.

There was no positive confirmation
from Canadian Pacific Airlines,
operators of the airlift plane
that either find was connected
with persons aboard the ship.
