THE TRUTH.

Congressman Dudley A. White of Norwalk in a recent speech declared a Republican president will be elected, this year, because the Republican party stands for peace.

"President Roosevelt", he asserted, "must stop tossing matches at the powder kegs of Europe. His inflammatory utterances, his yen to flirt cleverly with danger, his desire to create an artificial atmosphere of crisis is an attempt to submerge third term objections and to cover up the failure of New Deal policies at home are the greatest war dangers confronting this nation. Modern wars are economic in character. The greatest weakness in America's defense is the condition of the U. S. treasury at the present moment. The New Deal is responsible for it"
