MINNEAPOLIS, Minn.--The General Conference of The Methodist Church in session in Minneapolis, Minnesota has working in its Judicial Council, commonly called "the Supreme Court" of The Methodist Church, Mrs. Virginia Dickerson of Atlanta, Ga.; wife of Rev. A. S. Dickerson, a delegate to the Conference; and secretary of Bishop J. W. E. Bowen. Mrs. Dickerson has worked in the last three General Conferences of the Church. This makes her fourth one. The first two Conferences Mrs. Dickerson worked in the office of the Committee Reports; at the third Conference she was promoted to the office of the Treasurer of The Methodist Church and at this session of the General Conference she was promoted to work with the Judicial Council who determines the constitutionality of any act of the General Conference; hear and determine any appeal from a bishop's decision on a question of law made in an Annual Conference; pass upon decisions of law made by bishops and; hear and determine the legality of any action taken by any General Conference.
Mrs. Dickerson is the only person from the Central Jurisdiction (the all Negro jurisdiction) having worked with the pool of Secretaries at the General Conference of the Methodist Church.
