A BIG BREAKFAST.
That Given Yesterday by the Gospel Union.

The Pacific Gospel Union mission was the scene of much interest yesterday morning, when by 7:30 many destitute people had gathered to partake of the free breakfast which is given to the needy of this city every Sabbath morning. There were many present who would not have had a good breakfast on New Year's day, and some none at all, but for this deserving institution. The guests numbered 250, an increase of 20 over Christmas morning. The eager way they satisfied their appetites and the many expressions of gratitude showed how much the repast was appreciated. The service which immediately followed was attended by the majority of the women, men and children who had previously enjoyed the meal, and a most attentive congregation they were.
