Full Text

The Ladies association is to be named the Paphian Society, where all amusements, fashions, &c. are to be taken under consideration, together with what lengths any of the Ladies, married or single, may go in gallantry, without being deemed criminal. These are to be writ in form, and deposited in a cabinet, which the Vice Presidents are to have the keys of, and produce to the association as required. Her G-ce of B—d was chosen President from the first; her G-ce never attempted to draw a ball, as has been asserted; the only balloting was on the Gentlemens side, when Lady Lt produced two favourites, Lord M. and Captain G. when his Lordship drew only blackballs. The Gentlemen are to give their advice as required, being, in some cases, better judges of female conduct than the Ladies.
