BARRACKS,

EDs. Journal:-Believing that the good citizens of Evansville would like to know what the officers of the 2d regiment have to eat, I give you below our bill of fare. You will oblige the officers by publishing this:

BILL OF FARE AT HOTEL DE BURNSIDE BARRACKS.

Dinner call, 12 P. M.

SOUP.

Bean and Gumbo.

ROAST.

Beef Neck with Beans.

BOILED.

Mess Pork with Kanawha Salt.

COLD DISHES.

Beans cold and Hens 26 years old, stuffed with mice rolled in sawdust.

ENTREES.

Beans Roasted, Beans Minced, Hard Crackers, Mackerel Tails.

RELISHES.

Vinegar, Old Beer.

VEGETABLES.

Beans boiled, Potatoes boiled.

DESERT,

Cat Fish with Honey.
