Rev. Jackson preached on "Mutual Expectations of Pastor and Members" at the morning service, at the close of which members and friends greeted the pastor and congratulated him on his improvement. "Christian Unity" was the theme at night. Mrs. Elizabeth Lee of N. Y. C. was a visitor at the morning service, and has been the guest of Mrs. B. F. Brown of Harvard St., Malden for the past week. The Board of Religious Education will award the credit to students completing last quarter's work on Sunday, Nov. 12. Rev. Estauer of the Mass. Baptist Convention will address the group. On the sick list is Deacon Davis confined at the Whidden Memorial Hospital, Everett. The Senior Missionary Dept., under Mrs. Susie Josephs, president, held a Harvest Rally on Sunday afternoon with a large gathering of missionary workers. The guest speaker, Mrs. F. L. Mullock, brought a very challenging address on Missions, vocal selections rendered by Mrs. Esther Humphrey and Miss Ruth Jackson, accompanied by Miss Catherine Gaines. Remarks were given by Mrs. Sara J. Carter, Pres. of the Women's Auxiliary and Mrs. Colbert, Pres. of Zion Bapt. Church, Everett. Mrs. Mary E. Jumper was mistress of ceremonies.
—On last Friday evening at the home of Miss Madeline Powell the "Ruth" Class of the Church School met to reorganize for active service. Regular meetings will be the second and fourth Fridays in each month. Mrs. Mildred Sparrow was elected class advisor. Mesdames Alice Enslow and Sarah Arnold of Boston were the dinner guests of Mrs. Eva Gaddy of 238 Main St., Everett on Sunday afternoon. Regular meeting of the Junior Missionaries will be Monday, Nov. 6. Every member is asked to be present at 7:30 p.m. The Household of Ruth, No. 1088 of Malden met last Tuesday in Moose Hall, Everett. A goodly number was present to hear Sis. Ida Hinton—M.N.G., report on the annual session. Members of the State Executive Board of the Junior Women's Missionary Auxiliary that attended the fall opening program of the Junior Missionaries at the Mass. Ave. Baptist Church, Cambridge, last Sunday afternoon were: Miss Mary F. Jumper, State Jr. Pres., also Mrs. Carter, Supervisor of Metropolitan Baptist Church, Miss Ruth Johnson, President of People's, and Miss Barbara Nunley, President of Western Ave., Cambridge. The "Alta-Lux" Club of the Malden Y.W.C.A. met in Ramsdell Hall. Meeting nights have been changed from Tuesday to Wednesday. Miss Gladys Springer, vice president, took charge. The club will attend the "Hot Mikado" the next important feature will be a play, "Chintz Cottage," which will be coached by our club advisor, Mrs. Harriett T. Kelley. Those present were: Mary Caines, Ruth Bailey, Gertrude and Lillian Hodges, Marie Toppin, Mary F. Jumper, Grace Smith, Thelma Kinney, Madeline Powell, Furmon M. Turner, Ruth Smith, Margie and Adel Kenney, Hilda Ridley and Cloral Hurt. Guests were Misses Helen and Mucitha Holmes and Barbara Ellis.
