Event Details
A misunderstanding almost amounting to an open rupture had taken place between the Pacha of Egypt and the Sultan. Preparations for defense were being made in every part of Egypt susceptible to attack. The Pacha has greater means to resist than the Sultan to attempt an attack, making the Sultan's threats improbable to execute. The Sultan is currently completely incapacitated from carrying on hostilities.
