Egypt.—Letters from Egypt, of the 30th of August, state, that a misunderstanding, almost amounting to an open rupture, had lately taken place between the Pacha of that country and the Sultan.—Preparations for defence were being made in every part of Egypt at all susceptible of an attack, but, as the Pacha possesses far greater means, under existing circumstances, to resist one, than the Sultan to attempt it, we can hardly think it probable that the Sultan's threats, which have given rise to these apprehensions, were seriously intended to be put into execution. It is, at all events, evident, that, at this moment, the Sultan is completely incapacitated from carrying on hostilities against any one.
