Full Text
This impious man has dared to blaspheme the Supreme Being, by asserting that Divine Providence has smiled upon a continued scene of murders, rapes, robberies, and systematic destruction of prisoners; as seen lately exhibited by British and auxiliary mercenaries, with intention to extinguish every spark of American liberty.
The blessings of law and liberty were never yet the gift of a tyrant, and America is much too wise again to trust the despot of Britain with the power either to restore or to take away her liberty.
