Takes Purse, Hits Woman as She Asks Return of Keys

The meanest purse snatcher in the world, is the police description of the man who not only took the purse of Mrs. Clara Fischer, Tuesday night, but struck her in the face when she asked if she might keep her keys so as to gain entrance to her home, at 782 Greenfield Ave.

The man followed Mrs. Fischer for several blocks and at Washington St. and 13th Ave., demanded her purse.

She handed him the purse and asked for her keys, whereupon he knocked her to the pavement. The purse contained $1.
