A negro died suddenly. lately, at the house of correction in Boston.' In noticing the coroner's inquest the Boston Traveller says, "It is very remarkable, that this man spoke five languages, correctly and fluently: could repeat Shakspeare from beginning to end, and possessed, beside this, an uncommon fund of drollery. During the greater part of Napoleon's wars, he was a servant to different officers of distinction, where he had an opportunity of acquiring information and perfecting himself in waggishness. Intemperance was probably the cause of his death, resulting in a general disease and disorganization of important organs."
