July 2. It is said that from the ill treatment the Indians have received from the colonies, and from the great regard and dependence they appear to have towards the Crown, it is much expected that the several tribes living within the limits of the several colonies will soon cede their lands to his Majesty, and take out a grant of the same lands from the Crown, in order to prevent any future encroachments, many of them having already declared, that they would give all their lands to his Majesty rather than suffer themselves to be dispossessed of one foot by the colonies.
